New Student Orientation
The purpose of orientation is to provide new students with a smooth and helpful transition to college life.
Orientation is required of all first-time freshman and new transfer students new to Texas Southern University. The date for the upcoming New Student Orientation session is listed below under the RSVP section.
Registration and Information Sessions
During the summer months, all newly admitted students are required to attend a registration and information in preparation for enrollment for the upcoming fall semester. The sessions provide new students with an introduction to the campus and provides services for enrollment, including academic advisement, course selection, financial aid, and registration. Students can select which registration and information session they will attend; only one session is required. Parents are encouraged to attend the session with the student. Vaccination
Beginning January 1, 2012
, all first time students, younger than 30 years of age, regardless of
class status or where you will reside, will be required to have the
meningitis vaccination or an approved exemption prior to attending the
university. To be compliant with the new law, the student must have received
