The Kiwanis International

'' WE BUILD ''

The ISO is also a proud sponsor of the KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL aka the Circle K International club (CKI). CKI is an international group of volunteers that runs activities throughout the world. The Kiwanis International is a worldwide service organization for leading professional businesswomen and men. A local Kiwanis club sponsors each CKI. The CKI is the world's largest collegiate organization dedicated to service and leadership development with more than 500 clubs in nine countries. Formed in the 1930's. The CKI is a service organization through which college students can find means of responsible student action in their communities and a more active involvement in the life of their campus. As the club learns about the needs of their campuses and communities, they develop hands-on activities to address these problems. College is more than pursuit for a scholastic degree- it offers good times, getting to know others, personal development, and meaningful contributions to the world. CKI provides a unique opportunity to make a difference- CKI is the total college experience.

The CKI motto is the same as the Kiwanis International's ''We Build.'' CKI provides constructive opportunities for students to become involved on their campuses and communities through service work to others in need. CKI members have the chance to work with fellow students, children in the community, and other adult in need of special programs. At the present CKI is organizing events and fundraising socials at TSU. Active members achieve great benefits from this club. Personally I encourage all international students to take active part in this club.

As any other club the CKI also offers its memberships to the people who are interested. Although the membership for the club is not free, but compared to the amount of benefits you get, the amount is really nothing. Well if you think that you can commit yourself towards the betterment of humankind, are willing to dedicate and adhere to the ideals of the organization, then you can make a difference by joining this club.
