Undergraduate Admission

Welcome to the Undergraduate Admissions Web site. TSU is an accredited institution of higher learning that provides access to a college degree equally to graduates of accredited high schools in the United States and foreign countries to mature adults who have successfully passed the GED examination.

The University has an open admission policy. However, all entrants must be able to demonstrate their ability to perform successfully at the college level. The American College Test (ACT) or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is required. When testing please enter Texas Southern University's testing school code for SAT (6824) or ACT (4216) to electronically submit your score directly to our institution. The test scores are used for evaluation purposes. Prior to registration each new student is required to take a college preparedness placement test, which determines foundation course selections at registration.
